Hi Everyone,
We are starting Fiber Friday again starting Friday September Fifth at
our place. Bring spinning wheels, knitting, crochet, beading,
embroidery or any other crafty thing. Also, bring a dish to share and
something for show and tell.
Weather permitting we will be outdoors with natural dye pots (bring
cotton or wool to dye) and earth oven available for baking breads
(BYOS bring your own sourdough or any other thing to bake if you want).

We will continue to meet at the Federation for the Homeless in Monticello on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month to help prepare and serve lunch, unload the truck and assemble the food pantry bags and help with the gardens.
All are welcome to come any time after 9:30 am , when you can, they are standing dates.(They need help other days too if anyone wants to go more or can't make the Tues. dates)

This month the dates are 9/9 and 9/23. On the 23 there may be a photographer from the Sullivan Cty democrat to take pics of the kids to use in Sullivan Renaisssance ads. (Please let me know if anyone does NOT want to be photographed otherwise I will assume it's ok)

Description:

A Green Pizza Fundraiser for the Family Farm Festival will be held Saturday, September 13th, from 4 to 7pm at the Epworth Center on County Route 1 just south of High Falls. The event will raise funds for the 2009 Family Farm Festival. Festival organizers will serve up all-you-can-eat artisanal pizzas made from locally grown ingredients cooked in a hand-made wood-fired oven. Music, an heirloom tomato tasting, and tours of gardens and a strawbale house are also on offer. Admission, which includes all-you-can-eat pizza and access to all event components, is $20 for adults and $10 for children ages six to twelve. Children five and under get in free. The group will host additional fundraisers over the coming year; check out its website for details on this or other events at www.familyfarmfestival.com.

Description:

I would like to let everyone know that on Wednesday, September 24th, I will be starting a Beginner's Yoga Class for adults (ages 16+) at the Liberty Parks and Recreation building. The class will run for 8 consecutive weeks, and will be at 6:30-7:45 pm. Contact me for a registration form, or call Liberty Parks and Recreation at 292-7690. $80 for the entire session.

I would like to hold either a weekly family yoga class (kids roughly aged 6-10 with a parent) or a teens class (ages 12+) for the homeschool groups. Cost, time, and location to be announced, but the cost would be minimal, probably $5 per family per class. Let me know if you are interested in either of these ideas, and we'll start getting it organized!

Lastly, I am leading a weekend yoga retreat at Frost Valley YMCA the weekend of October 10-12. Visit www.catskillyoga.com for a brochure. I am opening up the yoga sessions to people who just want to come for the yoga (and not spend the whole weekend,) If you are interested in this option, contact me for rates and information.
