Hi Everyone-

An organization for which I volunteer, Community Unity, is administering two $5,000 scholarships this June.  Funded by Co-op Federal Credit Union and administered by Community Unity, the scholarships seek to reward two college bound seniors of good character in good academic standing, one of whom will be attending Sullivan County Community College, who have demonstrated a commitment to community service and/or the ideals of Sullivan Hospitality.  So, if a college bound senior has volunteered in their community  or has been working hard through high school but have gone above and beyond their job description in order to reach out to the community, they may be eligible for a $5,000 scholarship.  This money will be given to the student, not the school, so it will not impact on financial aid.  As one of the original workers on the scholarship and as a member of the scholarship committee, I have made sure the scholarship and the committee are home school friendly.  If anyone would like an application or more information, e-mail me or call me at 557-3642.  Claire Sullivan
